This is the 1st annual Paws for a Cause 5K organized by the Iowa State University Pre-Veterinary Club to raise money for the non-profit Safe Paws. All proceeds from this event will provide animals at risk for euthanasia a second chance at a permanent home and animals at risk of leaving their homes receive crucial resources.

Check-in for the 5K will begin at 9:00 am on Central Campus near the Campanile and the 5K will begin at 10:00 am. Please feel free to run or walk the 5K route!

Snacks will be provided for 5K participants, and awards will be presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers (and their furry friends). 

Dogs are welcome and encouraged to participate in the 5K. You must provide proof of your dog's current Rabies vaccination, and your dog must be friendly and on a leash. 

5K participants will also have the chance to raffle win prizes!
